A couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with this group of dancers doing some crazy dance stunts for an upcoming MGM movie filmed at Debbie Reynolds Legacy Studios 👯 👯‍♂️Little did we know that this studio would be closing, specifically TOMORROW. 30 years of dance history has come to a close and it breaks my heart. When I was only 5 or 6 years old, I would come to Debbie Reynolds with my mom @birdtrax321 who took Dom Salinaro’s class, a close friend of hers and I remember I would watch the class sitting under the piano. I later started to take the class too, being the only kid in an all adult class. I also have memories of hanging out with all the dancers in the lounge after class. Posters from famous movies lined the walls and even though I was young I knew that this place was special and had a unique history. Michael Jackson, Cher, Lucille Ball and Madonna are just a few who have graced the space with their presence. Now, the new owner has scheduled it to be demolished to build a new apartment building. There is a petition on change.org to help prevent this enormous loss and help to make it an historic landmark.
